If you say anything negative to a cancer don’t expect to hear the end of it anytime soon. Cancers like to get their way making them vindictive and petty. The deep connection between the moon and this sign is the reason for its emotional outbursts. Cancer Myth:
Hercules was tricked by Hera, Zeus’s wife that his wife and 3 sons were evil and plotting against him so he killed them in cold blood, he was then sentenced by Zeus, his father to 12 labours as punishment. The second of these labours was for Hercules to go to a swamp and find a hydra and destroy it. This was a very difficult task because each time you cut off a hydras head two new ones quickly grow in its place. Hercules came up with an idea to burn the hydra instead, it was working well and he had nearly defeated it. Hera, was watching from the heavens with astonishment that Hercules was nearly defeating the beast. She hated Hercules and wanted him destroyed, she was jealous of his strong relationship with Zeus. Hera sent down a large crab to try to defeat Hercules while he tried to defeat the hydra. Hercules crushed the crab in one mighty step and continued to slay the hydra. Hera was furious Hercules prevailed but was grateful to the crab for it’s sacrifice so she placed it in the heavens as an immortal constellation.
