Virgo Traits
Virgo is the 6th sign of the Zodiac, Individuals born under this sign are blessed with extreme intelligence and are always ready and willing to expand their knowledge. Virgo’s are very capable of finding the answer to any issue. No matter the situation or underlying emotions a Virgo always seems calm. On top of immense intelligence Virgo’s are one of the most honest and reliable signs, they will always tell you exactly how they feel and when they promise to do something they will get it done with efficiency. Virgo’s love to compartmentalize life and get things done in a step by step order. They are also said to be a bit old fashioned and conservative and prefers things done in a traditional way.
Unfortunately like all signs Virgo’s have their faults. Because Virgo’s see things in black and white they can get fussy about any details around a project or task. Their likes and dislikes of things are always to the most extreme which other signs can find irritating. Virgo individuals take much longer then most to get warmed up to a situation or person. In work virgo’s take a LONG time to get things started and tend to procrastinate a lot , although once they have began a task they will not stop until it is perfectly complete, the wait before this happens can sometimes feel like forever.
Virgo Myth:
Long, long ago, Gods and humans lived at peace together on earth. When humanity began to fall into corruption and violence all of the gods decided to return to the heavens. Astraea, Zeus’s daughter and the god of justice, wanted to see the good in man kind and didn’t leave at the same time as all the other gods. In the end Astraea left earth for good following the other gods to the heavens. According to legend The day Astraea left earth was the day paradise for humans ended, making us destined to suffer pain, disease and sickness for all eternity. Astraea was renamed Virgo or “the Virgin” as she never married or laid with a man, she remained pure. Virgo is a symbol of regeneration and hope despite the association with sickness and death. In our darkest hour, we can look to the heavens and remember their still is hope and innocence.
